Lifelong artist Vernita Bridges-Hoyt, b. 1947, joined the Daily Painters movement in early 2006.

Vernita is a founding member of Art Helping Animals and artist/director at Texas Sauce Studio & Gallery in Old Town Spring, Texas.

Vernita holds the professional degree B.Arch. from the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston. After serving as project architect with award-winning architecture firms, she established a residential design practice in 1996.
